Frederick (r) said he accepted responsibility for his role

US army reservist Sgt Ivan "Chip" Frederick has pleaded guilty to five charges of abusing prisoners at Abu Ghraib jail near Baghdad.
He is accused of conspiracy, dereliction of duty, maltreatment, assault and committing an indecent act.

He is expected to be sentenced later this week.

The two-day court martial of two other US military police charged with abusing prisoners is also due to begin at a US base in Iraq's capital, Baghdad.
