Kerry addresses Metrodome rally
Star Tribune: The Democratic nominee was greeted by a throng of thousands - the state fire marshal estimated 30,000 - among the largest political rallies in the state's history.

President Bush's largest crowd this year was estimated at 17,500 in Chanhassen. ...

Of course, not everyone believes Kerry has fallen short on his support of the military. Former Sen. Max Cleland, a veteran who lost three limbs in Vietnam, is co-chairman of the national Kerry-Edwards campaign. He took part in a rally with Minnesota veterans and supporters Thursday in St. Cloud before heading to Minneapolis for Kerry's own event. ...

Diana Stewart, 58, of Robbinsdale leaned over a fence, smiling. She works part time in retail sales because she can't find a full-time job, and she and her husband pay $456 a month for health insurance - insurance they can't afford to use for preventive screenings like pap smears because the co-pays are high. If Kerry is elected, she hopes he'll help create more jobs and lower health care costs. ``I trust him,'' she said.

8. Bush tops at 50% in LA polls
If the <=50% incumbency rule applies, don't be surprised if you wake up in a swing state.

Take that smirking chimp!!! Nobody wants to see you because you can't even spew out a grammatically correct sentence to save your life. People usually wind up having a laugh fest after you speak!!!

Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 11:18 PM by Carolab
Minnesota Public Radio said it was a "dead heat" here today. Interviewed a bunch of Repukes supporting Bush. I'm e-mailing them the Star Trib article to tell them they need to do their homework. i would have gone but I KNEW the turnout would be so high it would be hard to park.
