Bush Says U.S. Safety from Terror 'Up in the Air'
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=6590369&src=rss/topNews§ion=news

WACO, Texas (Reuters) - President Bush said in a television interview the United States was safer from terrorism but whether it can ever be fully safe was "up in the air."
Bush also told the Fox News Channel's "Hannity and Colmes" show to be broadcast on Monday night that the U.S. government had no "actionable intelligence" pointing to a pre-election attack in the works as happened in Madrid earlier this year to disrupt the Spanish election.

"We do believe that they have -- because of what happened in Madrid -- that they do think about whether or not they can try to disrupt our elections," Bush said.

3. More stellar Shrub quotes
On the "Laura not working controversy" from last week:

"It just kind of reflected the difference. Clearly women who work at home, raise their kids and stay at home and work in the house, provide a vital contribution and are whole people and are -- it's an old kind of style mindset," he said.

10. this is rhetoric out of the fifties
Nothing they would like to do more, than return to the "golden era" where men were boss, racism was rampant, schools, restaurants and other public places were segregated, women were housewives not being paid for their work, and denied the control over their own bodies which would make them dangerous to those like Bush. Ever notice how Laura frequently walks behind George like a little dog following her master?

30. Too bad
he didn't dress up in that CUTE LIL Cheerleader outfit and do some backflips for the crowd there..

altho, maybe dressed up in suspenders and smoking a cigar while roller skating would be a lot more effective -- (for those of you old enough to remember, that's how we used to torture Chimps back in the 1950s on shows like Ed Sullivan -- really big shews..) :)

Imagine being those poor Marines and having to SALUTE THAT.

I'd have to call in sick.

Like Father like son, ONE term and HE'S DONE.

19. can anyone decipher this bizarre set of sentences from mr. confuso?
In the Fox interview, Bush shrugged off comments last week by Kerry's wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, that Bush's wife, Laura, had never held a "real job." Laura Bush was a public school librarian and raised two daughters, and Heinz Kerry later apologized for her remark.

"It just kind of reflected the difference. Clearly women who work at home, raise their kids and stay at home and work in the house, provide a vital contribution and are whole people and are -- it's an old kind of style mindset," he said.

20. Don't read that too much, it can destroy your brain
I read it out loud a few times to see if it made more sense that way (which it didn't), but now I feel my IQ has plummeted about 30 points just today. And I haven't had a drop of alcohol :(

31. I think listening to Bush is
like having a stroke.. or hearing from someone that has..

he really does look at times like he's had a stroke, drooping mouth -- Bob Woodward apparently said that Bush stood up at a Staff meeting and starting talking in some unknown language, maybe this is what he was saying..

and then there's the drool.. making cotton :)

25. Yes. Just a subtle little joke that Bu$h thought was a clever mockery
of the ignorance of the American people. It was in reference to the aircraft hijacking attacks on 9/11.

He didn't think we would get it, and since he is the all powerful dictator, he really doesn't care if we get it or not. He can do anything he wants. He is the king.

Bu$h hates Americans and thinks we are all stupid chattel. He does this kind of thing all the time. The little fuck is a regular Beavis or Butthead.

Remember when he mocked that woman, Carla Faye Tucker, when she was pleading for her life?

Think about it: What kind of person would do something like that?

Only a psychopathic monster like Bu$h.

32. I think he's talking about
the 350 TONS of explosives that got looted on his watch in Iraq - since it only took about a pound of it to take out the Lockerbie plane, it's his clever way of saying that we'll all be blowd up real good..

How can anyone think about voting for a guy who says something like that? How can anyone say he is doing a better job then Clinton? How many major terrorist attacks on the homeland has Bush thwarted??
