Bush Aide Draws Fire with Pre-Election Speech
...more and more of this, while we foot the bill to hear more and more about nothing about Bush.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites)'s national security adviser touted the president's foreign policy to a Jewish group on Monday in a speech Democrats said was as a blatant foray into Bush's re-election campaign.

Although Condoleezza Rice (news - web sites) did not mention Bush's Democratic challenger, Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites), by name, her speech reflected the Bush campaign's portrayal of Kerry as having a too narrow view of the war on terrorism.

"For some it is a limited engagement whose goal is to go after Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) and al Qaeda, assume a more defensive posture at home and one day be able to put it out of our mind," Rice told the annual meeting of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

1. Wonder if Condi told them what Iraqis call American Soldiers?
was speaking the other day with Scott Pelley of CBS News's "60 Minutes" about the mood in Iraq. He had just returned from filming a piece there and he told me something disturbing. Scott had gone around and asked Iraqis on the streets what they called American troops - wondering if they had nicknames for us in the way we used to call the Nazis "Krauts" or the Vietcong "Charlie." And what did he find? "Many Iraqis have so much distrust for U.S. forces we found they've come up with a nickname for our troops," Scott said. "They call American soldiers 'The Jews,' as in, 'Don't go down that street, the Jews set up a roadblock.' "

According to Tom Friedman, who I find to be fully culpable in fomenting this invasion, but who at least has figured out it is a complete disaster.

16. I'm no expert....but....
I watched the series, "Off to War" on Discovery Times channel where they follow some National Guardsmen to Iraq. One of the guys explained that they called them Hajis, referring to a Muslim who has completed his trip to Mecca...the haj. He said they used it as a racist term for the Iraqis.

is on the rise, giving him an excuse for his Pre-Invasion war mongering.

7. For some, a strawman is great rhetoric and though political not about the
campaign....Rice has absolutely no credibility.

For some....insert attack Party talking point with no basis in reality.

Some say...insert attack Party talking point with no basis in reality.

How often do we hear this...yet how often does the Media point it out.

AIPAC is the Israeli political lobby that was recently tainted by allegations that they were receiving classified documents from a Pentagon employee.

13. Why does Cindasleezy Rice has ANY credability?

Her backgroud and education was about the soviet union. How does that qualify her as an expert on the middle east or islam? Other than of course being the monkey's main squeeze.

BTW George, with the librarian on one side of you and the oil empress on the other, are there any battles for who pulls the most blanket off the other's side? Must get interesting at night.

19. When "marshall (ing) all elements..." why did you only use the military?
"But this is not the struggle that we face. The global war on terror calls us, as President Bush immediately understood, to marshal all elements of our national power to beat terror and the ideology of hatred that protects them and recruits others to their ranks."

with Madeline Albright regarding any of the negotiations she had been carrying on while in office as Secretary of State. God I despise them so much. I hate willful ignorance and the Bush Administration is filled with it.

28. "For some" and "there are some who say", then insert strawman
works everytime on the sheeple

Ofcourse, you can infer "whomever" you want regarding who might take such and such a strawman position, but without actually "CITING" a real person's position--it could mean 'anyone.'

but don't quote me on that...thank you Condi...

actionable intelligence dismissed.
