Good grief. I have done nothing like what he did.

He died in the sands of Iraq. I did what I could in my country to 1) protest the start of this deluded Iraq war, then 2) helped the movement to fire the people who took him there. I was not successful on either count. I don't feel all that great, and I don't feel that this country gives a shit anymore. It's just another soldier/marine/airman/sailor killed.

We have lost our moral compass in the world. We might have it here "at home," but in the world we have doomed ourselves.

I pray for everyone on this planet right now.

I am so sorry for your loss of a friend....

I will say that I fortunately don't have a family member or friend there fighting in Iraq....I do however think everyday about these young men and women and feel for them and their families....

After seeing Michael Moore's statement, I realized that Goat Boy and his henchmen currently squatting illegally in the White House are responsible for thousands and thousands more deaths than Al Qaeda and any other terrorist organization, including (but not limited to) Hamas and the PLO.

At least, they didn't use to. They were a very progressive country, with a secular government with free health care and education, which women took great advantage of. Last count over 1600 professors, scientists and teachers had left Iraq.
