Bush family pulls together to support the President
Times
by Helen Rumbelow and Tim Reid

GEORGE BUSH SR spoke yesterday of how harrowing he had found the hatred directed at his son during the American presidential campaign.
The former President said that there had been more “visceral hatred” directed at George W. Bush than in any previous election campaign.

Mr Bush Sr said that he felt as though “something had hit me right square in the stomach” when he heard on Tuesday night that John Kerry might have won. “It’s just a strange, difficult year, and when it’s your own son in there, it’s hard to explain, but it’s very difficult,” Mr Bush Sr told Breakfast with Frost on BBC One. “It hurts far more when your son is criticised than when I used to be in that crossfire. I think there was more visceral hatred about the President than I’ve ever felt.”

It also emerged that one of the President’s daughters, Jenna, decided to campaign for her father this year after she had dreamt that he would lose. Laura Bush, the First Lady, told Newsweek: “It was very moving to George.”

Poppy's right, most sane, decent people on earth loathe Junior and can't understand the denial of the 58,000,000 Americans who voted for him................

13. No kidding. What about the "Clinton Chronicles", Mr. Bush?
And the Arkansas Project?
And the made up shit about Vince Foster?
And the Whitewater investigations?
And Chris Ruddy's crap about the "murder" of Ron Brown?
And Tom Delay's secret "evidence" room during the impeachment?

8. Snip of the interview:

BBC Breakfast with Frost, Sunday, 7 November, 2004.

Former President, George Bush Senior

The former US President George Bush Senior said the Prime Minister's call for Middle East peace to be a key priority had been heard 'loud and clear' in Washington.

Mr Bush said Tony Blair was "100% correct" and added that he was sure George W Bush would prove an "able and willing partner, particularly if there is a change in leadership in the PLO that we can deal with more openly and with more confidence."

The former President also echoed Mr Blair's comment that some countries were in a "state of denial" about his son's re-election.

"I think the Europeans that have opposed him on things ought to recognise there is, what I would say is a fairly substantial mandate for the President's approach," he said.

35. Mine too.
I hate to generalize here, but have you ever noticed how men do tend to get bitter and hateful and angry as they get older? Talk about a group of whiners! The old fart across the street from me proudly displayed his Bush/Cheney sign the last couple of weeks and blares his daily fix of Rush from his garage. He doesn't want to pay any taxes now that his children are grown and out of school. Hell if he cares about the younger people's families and their schools and libraries, etc. My children are grown, too, but I realize that someone else paid for my kids to have these public services and now it's my duty.

20. Your people taught us the recipe in the 90s, you dumb bastard.
Made me sick when I heard young W get all weepy because daddy Bush wasn't there when the announcement was made and he couldn't see a father's pride. What about all those migrant worker kids who don't get to see their daddy all during the harvest season, George. Like I have time for that tripe knowing how much worse everybody else has it. Minorities deal with being the recepient of hatred all the time and most of it from people who voted for W.

21. I wonder if Poppy gave any thought
to how the Kerry family felt having John Kerry's military record trashed by Bush surrogates? I wonder if he thought how they may have felt having John Kerry's faith questioned? Maybe it felt like a punch in the gut. Maybe they didn't feel so good hearing that Junior "won" due to fraudulant vote counting.

www.bbc.com and watch the interview with George senior, guaranteed to be repulsive. Oh, now he's also saying that exit polls should be eliminated and outlawed, and if that ain't an old CIA trick I don't know what is. Almost like he is anticipating trouble ahead with the exit polls and the BBV's.

42. Does He Know What Visceral Means?
Really, our "hatred" for Dubya is not visceral. Visceral is purely emotional, a reaction.

We despise everything for which the Bushes stand. We despise starting a pre-emptive war under false pretenses. We loathe the idea of tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires while kids in poverty lose their health insurance and get kicked out of After School Programs and Head Start. We detest ther war on reproductive freedom that goes far beyond a desire to outlaw abortion. We abhor the way they would manipulate the constitution to deny and restrict liberty rather than expand and protect it. We find insufferable their hijaking of religion. We are repulsed by Dubya's very attitude and its very arrogance that we must either be with him or against him and that dissent has no place in America. WE dislike that this Presidency is the most secretive ever, with few press conferences, one question limits and no follow up question allowed.

Please don't insult our legitimate greivances by dismissing them as visceral hatred.
