"Bush strikes out in N.H. on Social Security" (half-empty halls!)
Hee hee!!!!

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. - For President Bush, Social Security reform tops a busy second-term agenda, but yesterday's stop on his campaign-style reform push brought little more than a collective ho-hum from Granite Staters.

White House aides collected empty chairs in an echoing Pease International Tradeport hangar before Bush took the stage since only about half of the 2,000 free tickets were taken.

And those who did come gave Bush a welcome that paled in comparison to his fall campaign rallies.

Dedicated backers said they liked the president's pitch. But others left shaking their heads at Bush's controversial gambit.

``Yes, there are problems with Social Security down the road, but where's the immediate problem?'' asked Paul Guercio, a 58-year-old unenrolled research scientist from nearby Lyman, Maine.

``The president tells a good story, but I think this is scare tactics.''

1. Steee-rike ONE !!!
To stretch the baseball analogy, is this a strike out in one inning, one game, one series, or one whole season? Gulp!

4. He's gonna HAVE to raise payroll taxes
...because he is addicted to spending money, tossing it to his corporate pals....there's no way he can stop, he's like a crack addict. And he is such a fan of war without end, amen...they'll just have to fire up the printing presses and print more money to keep him happy, and before we know it, the dollar will have an equivalent value of say, the Iraqi dinar....

5. Only 2000 tickets, Chimpy you have the Mandate that's all you need.
When the Kings own backers don't support him he still tries to use the scare tactic. It appears to me a tide is turning against President Scrooge. The Farmers realize they voted wrong Thanks to his subsidy cuts. Now the the average Kool Aid drinker realize he is trying to scare them. Is the brain washing starting to wear off?

7. Ha Ha! (recommended)
Bush only pulling 1,000 people to a free event? That is hilarious. I hope someone took some pictures of the empty crowd. Interviewing the skeptical attendees for use in possible commercials if needed would be a good idea.

"So, you just came out of President Bush's town hall meeting on Social Security. What did you think of the President's proposal?"

"I think this is scare tactics".

Would be priceless IMO.
