MATTHEWS: Did everybody notice (Bush's) strong body language today, the way he sat? The Frenchman, of course, Chirac, is the element—he is the essence of grace and charm and all that. He has his legs crossed just a certain way.
Bush comes in there like a cowboy, legs apart, like he has got boots on. I couldn‘t cross my legs if I tried. Did anybody notice that? It was like a statement, like I am a cowboy and I‘m visiting old Europe.



I don't know. Looks to me like an acute flare-up of testicular elephantiasis instead. Or a really rough night at the bathhouse.

2. Art was in a secret government experiment

He opted out of Social Security and did privatization early. Unfortunately, due to Kenny Boy's Enron tip, Art has had to return to work. ;-) I also hear that since his son Jeff Gannon's recent "outing" the family is undergoing extreme financial hardship. As a result, Art is going into his son's business and has begun pimping himself out to the highest bidder.

3. If you know about body language you will also notice the handshake...

When You shake someone's hand, if your hanshake;

-Is firm - you have show interest or vigor.
-Is limp - you have shown disinterest or detachment.
-Supinates (is underneath their hand) - It is a sign of submission.
-Pronates (assumes the upper position) - It is a sign of dominance.
-Pulls their hand toward you - You have indicated that 'they are in Your domain'.
-Pushes pushes your hand towards them - You have indicated "I am in Your world".

...and a whole myriad of combinations of these with other both overt and subtle gestures can say an awful lot about who is smarter, more confident, more powerful, and ultimately more likely to succeed.
