Why Does CIA Leak Row Matter? (BBC)
Why does CIA leak row matter?
By Matthew Davis
BBC News, Washington

<snip>

A number of factors have turned up the heat, according to Thomas E Mann, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.

"Underlying this story is the widespread belief that the... case for war in Iraq was bogus," he told the BBC.

"Democrats now sense that damage to Rove will further weaken the president's reputation for honesty and leadership," he added.

New York Times columnist Frank Rich was more blunt, writing: "This scandal is about the unmasking of an ill-conceived war, not the unmasking of a CIA operative who posed for Vanity Fair."

1. Why isn't anyone writing about connection between Plame& Brewster Jennings
and the fact that the CIA is seriously impacted by the leak, not to mention that state of our security and WMD's around the world. Maybe then people "outside the beltway" would pay a little more attention!
