Bushism of the Day - from Slate
Bushism of the Day
By Jacob Weisberg
Posted Wednesday, October 1, 2003, at 7:39 AM PT

"Washington is a town where there's all kinds of allegations. You've heard much of the allegations. And if people have got solid information, please come forward with it. And that would be people inside the information who are the so-called anonymous sources, or people outside the information—outside the administration."—Chicago, Sept. 30, 2003 (Thanks to Andy Bowers.)

How does this moron get away with such gibberish? he can't even speak the English language in a sensible manner.

1. What disturbs me is that when American sheeple
are confronted with the truth about chimpy's IQ, I hear two things: 1) He's really very smart (Right, he was going to be a mathematical philosopher or literary critic or theoretical physicist, but politics beckoned to him); and 2) I'm not very smart either. Why do people want a leader who is like them? Why don't they want someone who is smarter, more knowledgable, more capable?

2. and why the f*&k
does the media ROUTINELY correct his bushisms and put them in quotes.

I have seen several sources say "inside the administration".

if you are going to correct Bush's grammar, then YOU CANNOT QUOTE IT!

4. Not to defend the media (heaven forbid!), but they often
get their quotes from the official WH transcripts, which are ALWAYS corrected before being released.

3. Because you fear that which you do not understand,
so putting Bush in the WH made a lot of people feel a lot better about the level of their intelligence. People actually voted against Gore because he was "too smart". I heard the same "Bush is just like me" BS in 2000 around here.

It's basically junior high all over again. Let's bash on the smart kids.

Give us someone knowledgable, diplomatic, perceptive, and brilliant.

5. I Used that Theory
long ago by saying the rightwing freaks support Bush because they believe they are smarter than he is. God forbid we should have an INTELLIGENT President like Al Gore. That would be just too much to ask for.

Morons.

Further, while I'm on the subject of morons, ANYONE who votes for Ah-Nold is a complete idiot. And anyone who still supports the Unelected Fraud needs a lobotomy.

Period.

7. next time someone uses that logic
- we like him 'cause we are as smart or smarter than he is - ask them if they want a janitor to do their brain surgery -

sheesh!

8. Bushisms
Bush really did make that absurd error-laden statement. I personally saw it on tv. He will never again rise to the level of the sentence I heard him saying on NPR, in which he used the word "gooder" three times.
