First, it was published by the FAS(Federation of American Scientists), who are the present day version of a group founded by scientists from the Manhattan Project that is "dedicated to ending the worldwide arms race and avoiding the use of nuclear weapons for any purpose." Hardly, a Bush cabal organization.
Second, the article debunks a poorly-researched and written piece in the Washington Post. They say: The word betaluminum does not exist. They speculate what they probably meant was "botulism," but their English sucks. In fact, they suspect "The Mujahideen Poisons Handbook," from which it is taken, is most likely a hoax. For sure, the recipe for "betaluminum" is a joke.
I don't know what it is you're used to, but guessing about it seems to be your M.O., 'cuz it sure ain't reading about it.
