Rolling Stones getting Dixie Chicked?

Rolling Stones get Dixie Chicked?

In a brilliant P.R move, the Stones leaked out that one of their tracks on their new C.D is a protest song. They knew there would be a knee jerk reaction from the American right. All the free publicity one could wish for has happened. The lyrics have been publicized but no music sound bite has been heard. The album will not be out until next month. The name of the tune is: My sweet NeoCon. Jagger and Richards are not strangers to controversy and I wouldn’t have it any other way. All the controversial songs that the Traitors do we get little reaction. But when a renowned band does it! Whoa! The Stone have accused of being devil worshippers: Sympathy for the devil. They were accused of being racists: Some girls LP. They were accused of being sexists: Under my thumb. Now they will be accused of being: Arab Terrorist sympathizers. Maybe Jagger and Keith see the inevitable end of the Stones and want to go out in a blaze of glory. Right- wingers are basically a bunch of pussies. That is why they went after that all white girl country combos: The Dixie Chicks. These dainty cute Females couldn’t harm an ant. The GOP went after them because one member of that band said she was embarrassed that Bush came from her state. CRUCIFY HER!!!!! She apologized but that didn’t satisfy the Nazi Republicans and they boycotted their concerts. Now here come the Stones and guess what gang? They are rich, popular and they don’t give a fuck! They have fans that are willing to pay $500 to see them. I propose the question, who would you rather see? : Bush giving a speech or old decrypted British rockers? I think that qualifies as a rhetorical question. The Stones will once in while in their long ass career cause a ripple in the placid sea of apathy. In this case, this would be more of a tidal wave. From what lyrics I have heard from that song, all those words are ABSOLUTELY TRUE! I hope the music is just as good. Go ahead you right wing shit heads! Give it your best shot! Accuse them of being Anti-American! See if anybody cares? You think Christianity is a big religion? Rock and Roll is the biggest religion around! It is my religion! Don’t fuck with my religion! When I saw the Stones on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964, it was my epiphany. Millions upon million angels with guitars and drums descended to mother earth from heaven and my life was forever changed. Pretty good for a lad that was 10 years old. I didn’t think much of the Beatles; they were too teenybopper for my taste. But the Rolling Stones? Forget about it!

1. Those Rolling Stones guys better be careful ...
Bill O'Reily may start a boycott of their music and you'll never hear from them again.

They'll just be a muscial footnote, like Dexy Midnight Runners.

2. If any lurking freepers have tickets to the 9/28 Stones Concert
in Pittsburgh, you would really be unpatriotic and acting with hate toward * if you go - so I'll be glad to take them off your hands for you - and I won't even charge you! Seriously, at the prices of $400-500 per ticket, I bet there are a lot of fatcat Rs holding tickets!

3. Good rant, you made me laugh with 'decrypted'
Although, being derived from 'crypt', maybe it fits.

4. There are few thinks I dislike more than loud rock music.

My idea of torture would be to be made to sit through a Rolling Stones concert. However, I think I will shortly be buying my first ever Rolling Stones recording, just a small thank you to Sir Mick and his Stones for delivering another well placed kick in the ass to Shrub and his thieving neocon junta.

6. God Bless Keith Richards
The Stones once again prove, in their 300th year together, that they can still get people talking. I would love to see the freepers try and go after the Stones. Maybe after that, they can take on the Beatles.

8. "Maybe after that, they can take on the Beatles."
They've already been there and done that. I remember record burnings and such after John's "We're more popular than Jesus Christ" comment.

7. Rock on, Stones!
Dreadful thought - will they be allowed to perform here anymore?
