Bomb blasts shake Bangladesh
DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) -- Dozens of small bomb blasts shook the capital and districts across Bangladesh, police said, as authorities scrambled to tally casualties and asses the damage from the explosions.

At least 10 people were wounded in one district in northern Bangladesh, but details of casualties elsewhere remained scant. The bombs appeared to be homemade and capable of causing only limited damage, police said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blasts, but leaflets from a banned Islamic group, the Jumatul Mujahedin, were found at the scene of explosions in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Bangladeshi media reported.

The group wants to establish an Islamic state in predominantly Muslim Bangladesh.
