As much as as I admire and envy you optimists, the fact that the poll numbers show Bush's approval rating "plummeting" and a "majority" of Americans consider him dishonest, the fact remains that these are answers to pollsters' questions. The Bush supporters remain far more fervent and passionate while those answering the polls are kind of in "I guess" mode. The tide will not turn until those who consider Bush "dishonest" become angry about this, and there is very little sign that this is happening.

As always, I hope I'm wrong.
