What is the "major newspaper" that will reveal Bush's drinking? |
|
I refer to National Enquirer interview on Ed Schultz's show today. They didn't say. I am guessing it is either the Washington Post or th e NY Times.
Anybody hava any differetn ideas/information?

DU'ers we always get disappointed when we get excited about some MSM reporting this kind of info.
30-40 years from now those of us still alive will finally see this info in print.

For those who think that the WaPo or NYTimes don't have the guts, consider this. The President is a position of monumental trust. During the latter days of the Nixon administration it was news that Nixon had been drinking heavily. Part of the discussion of the news media at the time was the following train of thought.
If Nixon is close to a breakdown due to pressures of the office and of the Watergate scandal, if he is drinking heavily on top of that, do we want somebody like that having access to the nuclear weapons. At that time, it was known that Watergate was totally consuming the West Wing, to the exclusion of everything else. It was thought that if Nixon didn't leave office soon on his own accord, something might have to be done to remove him, even before impeachment and trial could do so.
Consider the situation today. If Chimpy, a known severe alcohol abuser, has indeed fallen off the wagon hard, do we want to trust the nation's welfare to him? Knowing his total screw up on the Katrina affair, one has to ponder whether his performance was related to incapacity due to alcohol abuse. Knowing that other possibly very severe situations could surface, maybe it would be better to do something now rather than presume that a demonstrably incapacitated alcoholic can handle it.
This drinking business is a very scary, very worrisome situation. Is it possible that the whole Katrina faux pas was due to Shrimp alcohol abuse? The timing of this revelation seems to point to it. I now think that it is possible that our country could be in very grave danger with a person we cannot trust at the helm. I will be writing my Congress Critters in the next couple of days relating my very grave concerns.

bush couldn't even hide his disdain for having to PRETEND to work due to Hurricane Rita - it is quite obvious bush has no real pull. The problem is HE doesn't know that - he thinks he is a real president.

Will have to appear in college types and work its way up - MSM will not touch this.
Wonder if Keith will - Randi on AAR spent much time on it today.

it gets all the rest of them off the hook for the multitude of major clusterfucks they are running right now, doesn't it? It was HIS fault. We didn't do it.
* has always been a piss poor puppet. No one of them can stand him and there is NO loyalty with this scum. They could very well be offering him up as bait.
At this moment, they are scrapping his appearance in TX...

15. That's why I say, Buy this issue of NE |
|
It will not only encourage the NE to continue running negative chimp stories, it will also encourage others in the MSM to jump all over this very serious issue. It's bad enough with a sober * and this nation is in deep trouble if indeed * has returned to his drunken ways.
I never buy the NE but have purchased a copy for that simple reason. The more they sell of this issue, the harder they will go after *.

18. Even if it came from The American Spectator |
|
the sheeple who worship Bush as god's rep on Earth will still love and revere him. It will prove to them that he is only human and as a human he has his foibles and weaknesses. After all, they will ask themselves, when faced with a war and two hurricanes anyone would buckle under the stress.
The fundies will say all he needs to do is recommit himself to Jesus and all will be fine. He will do some mea culpas with the right folks (Robertson, Fallwell et al) and ask forgiveness for the sin of excess.

How about the fact that he's suffering from presenile dementia?!? More to the point, beyond relapse, we are being ruled by an OUTRIGHT mentally ill President.
What media outlet has the courage to print the TRUTH?!?
Answer: None.
