It's in response to a guy who said that Dean had no chance, and was another McGovern, another Mondale .

Richard Andrzeicik was leading the parade in a July 15 letter <"Howard Dean's Weak Support"> by quoting analyst Charles Cook as saying: "There is a very substantial corps of Democrats that absolutely despises President Bush. There is nothing you can say about Bush that's bad enough to satisfy these people."

However, if you change the word "Democrats" to "right-wing conservatives," and change the name "Bush" to "Clinton," you will have turned the clock back about 10 years.

I looked up Mr. Hirsch in my phone book, called him, and PERSONALLY thanked him for writing this.

He was very flattered, saying that his wife was mad at him since now everyone knows he's a liberal. He said "so what".

it is an APT COMPARISON. Rush hasn't gone as far as a Nazi, but I have no doubt he would if he could.

6. Limbaugh is no Goebbels

Since he is outside of the government, he is more like Julius Streicher. Ari Fleischer or his replacement would be the Goebbels of the Corporanazi party.

As the prosecution said of Streicher at Nuremberg:

"It was to the task of educating and poisoning the people with hate, and of producing murderers, that Streicher set himself. For 25 years he continued unrelentingly the perversion of the people and youth of Germany. He went on and on, as he saw the results of his work bearing fruit.

"Educating and poisoning people with hate" sounds like Limbaugh to me.
