Lt. Gen. Odom on NPR: US Iraq Presence Fuels Al Queda
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5035613

The above is a link to the audio to a good interview this morning on NPR. It is with retired Lt. General William Odom, the former director of the National Security Agency. He says that the US played into the hands of Al Queda and Iran by invading Iraq. He also says that the US presence in Iraq is fueling international terrorism and helping Al Queda.

1. Kick for Important info from another man they can't 'swiftboat'
:kick:

Iraq is NOW home to many bad elements who were not there before we invaded. Iraq is NOW a breeding ground for future terrorist with legitimate reasons to harbor hatred toward the US. Iraq is NOW more likely to turn into a theocracy like Iran.

Should Saddam have been removed? Probably, eventually. Was he so important that all the above situations were worth creating to do it? Not bloody likely, not to any SANE people at least.

2. That couldn't possibly be right
All the military experts over at free republic say that we are winning, that the great american president is leading us to glorious victory over the evil rag head non-christians. What do you have? The word of a retired three star general who only probably served close to 40 years in uniform then had some little NSA job in Washington. You and the "General" obviously hate America.
