Bush insults Hawaiians with improper "Shaka"

During Bush’s visit to Hawai’i he attempted on numerous occasions to flash a “Shaka” sign to the assembled crowds. Confusing it with a “Hook-em Horns” sign he continued to deliver this in an insulting way, bewildering and disgusting many in attendance. “F*ckin Howlie” could be heard amongst the gasps and head shaking.

Way to go Georgie..

and please stay on the mainland.

2. in this picture, correct 'shaka'?
I thought the 'shaka' is with the pinky and thumb as he's doing in this picture, and 'hook em horns' is with the pinky and index finger.

6. Shaka is not for everyone, brah.
Sort of like Skull and Bones.

You have to be selected.

You can't just join.

There is an exclusivity attached to both.

It is obvious that George was never tapped as is evidenced by his fucked-up Longhorn salute.

If he were 'in' with the Shaka he'de know it and we'd know it.

Locals know.

To officially enter one must connect or be connected, personally, on a human level, heart to heart, with someone that is in.

Sometimes, however, for those who lack social skills, all it takes is being in a t-shirt shop in Wakiki to get in. This is the most informal type of induction. Just check out the t-shirts.

Bush, he's not connected and never been in a Wakiki t-shirt shop.

Fucking Howlie!

3. There goes the Hawaiian votes
Since when did Bush carry Hawai'i?

NEVER!

Remind me to contact my buddy in Hawai'i and make sure his family doesn't vote for Chimp.

5. Uh, that's the "hang loose" sign
The most uptight people saying "hang loose". ew.

Maybe he thought it was a "hang the losers" sign, and still thinks he beat Gore.

14. I know why our most Churchillian of presidents went to Hawaii...
At least, I think I do. This has been a bad week for me in terms of keeping up with the news, so this is just a theory pulled out of my big fat ass. But it all became clear this morning when I saw one of the mainstream media reporters (the chubby, dopey-eyed guy with the dark hair and goatee, I think he's from CBS) reporting from Hawaii in a Hawaiian shirt with a lei around his neck.

In light of the public relations problems our Cowboy Messiah has been having lately, someone must have come to the conclusion that a nice "business" trip to Hawaii right about now would be just the thing to get the lapdog media personnel back on board so they'd once again start gushing eloquence on the wisdom, vision, and committment of the Crawford King.

I know I'm not the only one here who's read the stories about how during the 2000 elections the scribblers swooned over the excellence of the Republican catering services and decried the paltry hospitality of that miserable parsimon Al Gore. If that's enough to spread your legs, what would you do for a trip to Hawaii?

Françoise
