And the Republican party aids and abets these racist scum. Remember, that many of the Southern Democrats lured to Republicanism were in actuality, Dixiecrats. When Johnson signed Civil Rights into law, he knew he'd lose the South, and he did. And though the Repubs don't expressly have racism permitted or encouraged in their party platform, they most certainly have a "nod-nod, wink-wink" approach to the subject. Name me any progress towards civil rights (or women's rights, or gay rights) that occurred during Republican reigns. Betcha can't, can you?
Racism,(organized or otherwise) isn't limited to the Southern states. There are serious White Supremest organizations in Connecticut, Ohio, California, etc. etc.

but sadly not surprising. What is horrible is how the msm coverage (esp in terms of 'looting') played into the 'images' glombed onto by the radical right and their racist fellow travelers.
