G.O.P shoots the messenger.

It almost farcical to watch the Republican propagandists rationalize everything that Bush does wrong. It goes back to that Ronald Reagan 11th commandment: Thou shall not speak ill of other Republicans. The analogy here is the mother’s love for an evil son. The brat could do no wrong. It is never the Childs fault. It’s always someone else’s fault because that child is the mother’s angel and she has unconditional love for that brat. This is an ethical question: Does loyalty supersede absolute truth and justice? This moral dilemma has haunted Humankind since they crawled on earth millions years ago.
Bushes violation of the Constitution and The Bill of Rights has his P.R handlers in a dizzy. So what do they do? They attack the New York Times for releases the story how Bush spied on American citizens. Nobody likes the Times, left or right! But they do report the news! If there is an earthquake in California, they will report it. What is maddening is that they sat on the story for a year on a request from the Bush administration. If the N.Y Times were Liberal would they had oblige the request?
Bush says he spied on citizens to protect them from terrorists. Oh yeah? So he spied on the Quakers because of their ties with AL Qaeda? Some how I can’t believe that. I wondered if he spied on Mormons, Catholics, Reform Jews or Christian Scientists? Well…after all…. the now dead pope, Paul was opposed to the war.
With baby steps, Republican Senators or Congress members are defecting from the party and putting the Constitution over party loyalty. Democrats defected from party loyalty when president LBJ was bombing Vietnam. Republicans is starting to realize that Neo-Cons are not really Conservatives. This might make a historical precedence. When party members impeach their own party member. I declare Reagan Commandant DEAD!
