Problem with new voting method (bbv)
STEVEN R. GUY - Republican

More than one million Texans are registered voters in counties using the same punch ballot that led to unproven allegations of hanging chads in Florida in 2000 and the California Court decision postponing that state's upcoming October recall election.

Cherokee County doesn't use punch ballots but Smith County does.

Smith County is home to 101,184 registered voters.

At least 12 Texas counties use punch ballots. Smith County expects to spend $1.5 million switching to DRE machines using touch sensitive computer display screens.

So what is DRE technology? It is just a computer.

When a Republican complains about BBV, the Bushies had better pay attention ;)

1. nice to read that
I don't see it as an us vs them issue either. I would think all Americans would be concerned with fair elections.
