The Right's Man
By PAUL KRUGMAN
Published: March 13, 2006

John McCain isn't a moderate. He's much less of a maverick than you'd think. And he isn't the straight talker he claims to be.

1. John McCain is the same as junior and the big difference is
that McCain can probably ride a bicycle where junior will indeed fall off of even a tricycle.

Krugman has it right as always.

4. That should be the campaign slogan.
Republicans campaign Center then rule far right.

2. Men who get places on what their father's and grandfather's did.
Their egos have problems. McCain like Bush will stand on any one to get where he wants and neither one seems to really have a back bone of real beliefs.

3. Krugman's dead-on with this. I appreciate this post because
McCain is a formidable potential GOP nominee, and it's extremely helpful to re-evaluate him in the next two election cycles.

Beneath the straight-shooter veneer, McCain's essentially an Apache-hanging Old West rightwing kook.

5. Like I've said - McCain's given Bush too many big wet sloppy ones
in the past. He ain't no moderate.
