Russia's 700 Million dollar deal to sell Missiles to Iran. LA Times
Edited on Mon May-08-06 03:02 PM by sarcasmo
Snip> When the war begins, it will be between Iran and Israel. Before it ends, though, it may set the whole of the Middle East on fire, pulling in the United States, leaving a legacy of instability that will last for generations and permanently ending a century of American supremacy.

Snip> There are no circumstances which would get in the way of us carrying out our commitments in the field of military cooperation with Iran," declared Nikolai Spassky, deputy head of Russia's National Security Council.

Snip> So what is Russia up to? Andrei Piontkovsky, a Russian political analyst, suggests that Russia's oil and gas oligarchs wouldn't shed any tears over a war in the Middle East, especially if it's a war that ensnares the U.S. and keeps oil prices high.

1. This is what you get when you have a poker player in the seat of
someone tasked with playing the grand chess game. You might knock out a couple easy targets, but you're going to lose hard.

2. Think they read the PNAC website?
It's not like the neocon agenda for controlling the oil is a big secret. They made a mistake letting Bush use the UN to cover the invasion/occupation of Iraq...I don't think the UN will be allowing themselves to be used for the next neocon wetdream.
