1st- and 2nd-graders accused of sexual assault
12 allegedly attacked 2nd-grade girl during recess at St. Louis school

Updated: 9:39 p.m. ET May 9, 2006

ST. LOUIS - Twelve boys in the first and second grade at a St. Louis elementary school are accused of sexually assaulting a second-grade girl during recess, authorities said Tuesday.

One teacher who was supposed to be supervising the recess has been fired, and another suspended with pay, school superintendent Creg Williams said. Ten of the boys, ages 6 to 8, were suspended for the rest of the school year, and the other two received five-day, in-school suspensions.

No names were released.
.........

During the recess shortly after lunch, a student saw several boys huddled around the girl who was on the ground, and alerted a teacher.

Police turned the investigation over to juvenile authorities. A court official said the boys could face misdemeanor counts of sexual misconduct and assault.

1. This can only be parenting. Where did they learn this behavior?
Porn on the TV with them around. If not porn, inappropriate videos. No 6 and 7 yr old has an aggressive, innate sense of sexuality. Some may be sexually aware, as in "I touch and it feels good" but not in the "give it to me" sense.

2. Is this a wolf pack mentality? I can't conceive children this young
doing this and knowing what they are doing. I'm speechless and shocked, those boys need help and that poor little girl needs much counseling and most likely will for years. I hope they aren't going to put these boys under Megan's Law. I wouldn't want to be the judge in this case or any of the parents.:wtf:

5. All it takes is the wrong example and no coaching
TV and two working parents might do the trick.

3. Here we go again gut level, emotional reaction
to prove what? That schools aren't safe? That americans can't raise kids? Get real, look around you and see through the kids eyes the adult world. We bombard kids every waking hour with TV ads that use sex to sell a product. Look at the latest axe ads running on TV. Then beer ads and strong drink ads, drink this brand and women will flock to you. We live with freedom of sex while at the same time we want to repress sexual drives. Your dealing with kids who not only see these ads and buy into these ads but believe these ads. How many of these kids listen to and are exposed to graphic music? Why don't you go to a park and listen to what kids talk about when they think adults aren't listening to them? I over heard 9 and 10 year olds talking about gang banging, theres a new game with kids, they get on bikes and do drive by's with BB guns on kids they don't like or had words with in school. Kids also talk about sex and whats sexy, nothing like hearing a 8 year old talking to friends about how she needs to go on a diet so she can wear belly shirts. Get real kids learn from TV and adults, they watch adults interact they listen to adult conversations and they all want to grow up and do adult things. Remember the South Park episode where all the girls thought it was cool to be sluts and ho's? Thats the real world of kids, they copy any and all behaviors they see adults doing or talking about.

There were sexy ads on TV when I was a kid, and I'm 50.

4. Ouch. 8 year old boys know of sex?
Usually they're indifferent of girls at age 8, if not afraid.

Absolutely sick, those children. Assult or sexual assault, it's depraved either way. x(
