Is Medicare privatized for HMO's
Edited on Tue Nov-25-03 02:22 PM by donhakman
You bet it was.

1st
Medicare can not negotiate prescription prices.
Once people get canceled by their health care provider
they go on medicare so only the sickest people with health costs HMO's won't touch will go on medicare. Medicare is set up to go broke in no time.

Soon the same "set up to fail" system for education (leave no child behind) will mean education will be privatized primarily by religious institutions.

Park, NIH, IRS, GAO ... services are privatized

Goverment services when privatized generally cost 4 times as much.

We are told we can not afford these services as they are.
Never mind we went from a surplus to the all time historic deficeit under Bush2. (its really part of the plan)
Never mind privatizing costs more.

you all got something called health care reform.

please do not get sick.

1. Bush looked like a cat that swallowed a canary today
The big tip off for everyone concerned is that the new law will not go in to effect until 2006.

Yep two years after the election so this new grand rip off will be in effect for at least 3 years before Congress can try to serve the public for a change.

The new law makes it a crime to get cheaper drugs from Canada. It also will not allow any compromise or bargaining for lowered prices on large medicare orders. Medicare must pay whatever the pharmaceutical Companies desires. PERIOD

They cleverly adjusted the supposed savings so that inflation by 2006 will exceed any savings that the drug compnay propoganda is hawking today.

Medicare is being set up to fail and totally run out of money so that it will be abolished all together.

HMO's will cancel anyone really sick with expensive treatments so people will end up on Medicare.
With only the sickest and most expensive patients concentrated in the Medicare system - IT WILL GO BROKE.

Then a new totally privatized scheme will suddenly be discovered by Republicans and will be sold to people as the greatest advancement on Earth.

They are doing this with public school education which is boosting enrollment in fundamentalist religious education. (some catholic schools excepted)

They are privatizing the park service so only those that could not care less about parks or more about profits will be in authority. Go ahead, talk to a park ranger, they will tell you how they expect to be out of a job any time now.

Long story short, soon the goverment will privatize (CORPORATELY OWN AND RUN) most of what we always paid the goverment to do.

When you can't sue and when caps of $250,000 ,even for lifetime paralysis due to negligence, then you are only a slave that will no longer have the power of the courts to help even the most terrible corporate abuses.

Remember the 1995 frivilous lawsuit law that Clinton vetoed but Congress passed anyway?

That was the law that made it legal for CEO's to deliberatley lie about Corporate earnings and made all the Worldcoms and Enrons possible. That is why these CEOs get off. Congress made it legal and it only took 7 years to rip off more money than any privious Corporate scam ever did before. It made savings and loan scandel look like ants.

Now Congress made this 'NEW" Medicare legal.

I am gladeveryone here at least sees the scam ahead of time - this time.

2. Medicare isn't going away. The Boomers are coming and they
DEMAND it! The only way they'll accept prescription drug coverage and HMO's is if they had affordable choices like they had while working.

So, there will be Hell to pay but the Boomers will insist on Medicare and Prescription Drug Coverage.
