Bush Mispronounces Nevada in Visit
Score another one for America's monkey boy.

CARSON CITY, Nev. - Nevada memo to George Bush: When making a first presidential visit to a state, use the right pronounciation of its name.

1. A guy put himself through college with this bumpersticker:
Ory-gun.

Ore-gone is a no-no.

Go, Nuh-vah-duh!

2. And AP misspelled pronunciation
"Nevada memo to George Bush: When making a first presidential visit to a state, use the right pronounciation of its name."
Coincidence? Or vile conspiracy to mutilate the English language?
We report, you decide :-)
Carol (who hopes she did not misspell anything in this post)

3. At least he didn't threaten to bomb Nevawduh's harbors.
Nor has he threatened to privatize the gambling industry.

4. Er....
I say Ne-vah-da. If no one had told me how they say it out west, I would have made the same mistake.

I'd be surprised if someone hadn't told him, though.

5. Same here

I probably would have said "Nev-AH-dah", not "Nev-AAA-da", too.

This could have been worse. It could have been "Ar-Kan-sus". Personally, I get hives when I hear "New Hamp-shire"; it's "New Hampshuh", damnit!

And don't get me started on the topic of our state capital. It is NEVER pronounced like the name of the recently retired supersonic airliner. Properly pronounced , it comes out something like "CON-kuhd" or KONG-kid".

As dim a bulb as Shrub is, we should chalk this one up to really poor advance work.

... To properly pronounce "Bush", the syllable should rhyme with "war mongering chickenhawk deficit-spending jerk off liar a-hole".
