I have long been advocating unity among progressives of all stripes, including those on the Democratic right. The far right's dominance of the Republican party make it urgent that those who oppose the far right, even on partially progressive grounds, unite.

Those on the Democratic right break down into a number of types:

1. boy, he's getting a lot of undeserved flak, IMO
thus demonstrating his point--that the circular firing squad methodology MUST STOP.
disagree on issues? fine, but no reason to take your ball and go home.

1) obtain power.
2) implement your agenda.
note: (2) is not possible without (1), and (1) is not possible without either sudden violent revolution or compromise. i prefer the latter.
