Tester is our choice for Senate

The U.S. Senate race between incumbent Republican Sen. Conrad Burns and state Sen. Jon Tester, Democrat, has been as contentious as they come.

If you believe the most recent polls, the candidates are within one percentage point of each other.

And, it may be that Montana will be a swing vote for who has the power in the Senate. Montana is the last state to weigh in on a key senate race on election night. All the other battle states are east of us. Montana may be the deciding factor for whether the Senate remains in Republican or Democratic control.
