In the article you will note Daddy Bush's hand in making Gates president of Texas A&M. I suspect the same in the SecDef nomination.

1. Poppy is slipping in
to attempt to salvage what is left of junior's presidency and his career and his legacy. They are all in the trash and anything daddy does won't be enough but the efforts are extremely transparent.
