Ushering in a new era of “Bye-Partisanship,” President Bush today announced his plan for Congressional withdrawal, in which Democrats would gradually be redeployed to points outside the Beltway.
Appearing in front of a huge banner emblazoned with the motto SLAY THE LOSS, Bush asserted that he had learned his lessons from the Iraqi war, and that the only way to avoid a civil war in this country is to have the Democrats disengage from the levers of power.
Bush said he was particularly concerned about the prospect of the House being controlled by radical leaders Nancy al-Pelosi and Moktada al-Murtha.
Bush added that his plan would “save the government the enormous expense of new drapes, and also benefit my ‘Healthy Forests’ program, by saving all those trees that would otherwise be sacrificed to subpoenas.”
