We may be lucky that the Bush/Rove axis has been as brazen
as they have. Ever since Reagan we've been on a steady rightward drift, with each move toward fascism apparently small enough to avoid triggering the alarms. But at last with Bush, the frog has noticed that the water in the pot is getting 'way too warm. Maybe more than a million people have died in the process of Bush heating that water, but Hitler's insanity killed maybe 40 million, and even LBJ killed several million before he was done (and remember that people are still dying of the lingering aftereffects of Vietnam).

Had this bunch not been hubris personified, there is no telling how far they might have led the American Booboisie astray before the frog jumped--or boiled.

1. Sad, bizarre, but probably true.

We could almost see it coming by 2003/4, but the admin. lost any self-control after the election. Hubris, indeed.
