Totalitarian governments have historically used politicized professionals to carry out genocide.

Alex Alvarez spoke about the role of "social elites" in genocide and his remarks deserve consideration today.

The BFEE has extremist ideologues exactly like those discussed in this article from a symposium on preventing genocide in 2001.
