Pentagon Thinks Big concerning attack on Iran (JUAN COLE)

In making continency plans for war against Iran, the Pentagon is thinking big. Not just surgical strikes on the civilian nuclear energy program, but hitting virtually everything of importance in the country. The Air Force kept telling us they could bomb Vietnam into submission. They couldn't. Then it was shock and awe in Iraq. Didn't work. Just remember, it is always the Army that has to come in and clean up the mess.

1. I really don't understand how this administration will justify an attack on Iran.

They certainly have no legitimate basis to start a war at this point. I wonder how they will stage the "Gleiwitz incident" to justify our attack? I believe that they are desperate enough to do this. What do they have to lose? They are so deep in this criminally, that they now need to create another international war in order to suppress domestic dissent. How will the world react? How will we react?
