"War is a Racket" - Ralph Nader
http://www.ralphnader.com/interest/122703.html

"Times have changed and so has the technology of war. But the chicken hawks in Washington, led by Bush and Cheney, are disregarding the advice of many battle-tested officers, retired Generals and Admirals, diplomats and intelligence officials. Instead, they are enlarging their Imperial designs, with the oil and other corporate moguls alongside, that Smedley Butler was highlighting decades ago."

Go get them Ralph!

1. now wait for the onslaught of nader haters..
telling you how the Great Satan, Ralph Nader, cost the dems the election in 2000. They'll swing by to let you in on this.. just before they head off for GD, and a hearty round of candidate bashing.

they only reply when Ralph is critical of Dems...when he's critical of Bush they don't want to know it, so they can come back later and say he never attacks Republicans.

The article was a very good piece, and people should be interested in the perspective Butler had.

2. still waiting for the dem leadership to step forward
and say what needs to be said, and call out the bush/cheney cabal out for what it is.

sadly, they won't, because many of them either support what's going or just don't have the stones.
