Coulter goes after Max Cleland again: "Victim only of his own clumsiness. . ."
In her latest screed (Aug. 15), Ann Coulter rips "Democrats' most dearly beloved anti-war/anti-Bush heroes (who) invariably end up in the Teresa Heinz Kerry wing of the nut-house."

She must be worried that John Gibson may be threatening her crown as the most vile and repulsive "commentator" on the planet, because one of those she trashes is Max Cleland, again claiming that injuries suffered in wartime aren't legit unless she says so, and are never so if they harm those who criticize Our Dear Leaders:

"(Democrats claim) Max Cleland was a war hero who lost his limbs as a result of Viet Cong grenades, giving him the stature to gleefully taunt George Bush and Dick Cheney. 'Where the hell were you in the Vietnam War?' Cleland responded to Cheney. 'If you had gone to Vietnam like the rest of us, maybe you would have learned something about war.'

Then we learned Cleland was a victim only of his own clumsiness and had dropped the grenade on himself in Vietnam after stopping for a beer." http://www.anncoulter.com/cgi-local/welcome.cgi

4. Hey O'Reilly - How come she isn't on your hate list, like Kos, but instead is a guest?
I don't want to try to compromise with these "people." I want to stop them. Before they silence us, which is most assuredly their goal.

6. I've actually moved on from the whole Max Cleland thing. Apparently Coulter has not.
Then again, I could understand why a Republican today would want to re-live the 2002 elections again.

7. When America, will we tell the Republican party to go to HELL?
At the RNC when they passed out band-aids to mock Purple Hearts?

When they lied to get us into this immoral and unlAWFUL war?

When Coulter continues to attack American Heros?

Or Finally, at long last, the people who have no decency will be told to go to hell after the economy collapses? Next month.

11. For those unaware...
Coulter is engaging in some egregious "spin" on the Cleland wounding. According to WITNESSES Cleland was injured (horrifically" by another rookie GI's failure to take common "in country" precautions when handling grenades.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Cleland

Cleland was operating in support of the Khe Sahn fire-base and was, indeed, going to have a beer with some friends at a hilltop radio post; he had not yet had anything to drink. He leaned over to pick up a grenade he thought had dropped from his web gear; instead, it was a grenade armed by the loss of the safety pin, dropped by another soldier.

Coulter needs to be called on her lies.

for free speech; that is, as long as it is her free speech.

A woman whose worse day involves a bad pubic shave making judgments like this.

A question to kids: Why would you consider enlisting?
A question to parents: Why would you consider letting your kids consider enlisting?
I was told by a very trustworthy source to get the military service off my resume. Advice I followed in desperation. The truth is that VETERANS are NOT considered employable by many of the big corporations. Their view of a veterans patriotism (even if not expressed outwardly) is contrary to the global cash flow. YOU WILL NOT BE HIRED!!

wiki:
Lloyd took off his web belt and tied it around one of Cleland's shredded legs. When the medics arrived, he left to help another injured soldier — one of the two who had gotten off a helicopter with Cleland.

That soldier was crying. 'It was mine,' he said, 'it was my grenade.'

14. Maybe she should sign up for Iraq duty. She's not too old.
If she gets wounded maybe it will have empathy for Max. Not! Pathological Sociopaths don't have a conscience. :dem:
