Obama Gets Big Wisconsin Endorsement
Source: Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

"But even without this Clinton baggage and on their individual merits, Obama still has the edge. His experience as community organizer, state legislator, U.S. senator and campaigner who took a dream and became a credible contender measures up well against Clinton's experience as poverty lawyer, first lady and U.S. senator. The party would be well-served with either candidate, and the historical implications are huge with each. But in Obama, there is a potential for meaningful change that does not exist with any other candidate."

Obama just got the endorsement of the major Wisconsin paper, two days before the primary in that state....

3. I love women, but I sure don't like Sen Clinton as a candidate.

Does disliking Senator Clinton make me a sexist? The answer is NO.
Senator Clinton is republican-lite in my book. That's why I support Senator Obama.
Of course, if Senator Clinton is the candidate in November she'll get my vote, but I support Senator Obama.
I'd rather drink battery acid than vote for a Republican for POTUS.
My own mother would not get my vote as a republican candidate.

2. Well written...one of the more compelling endorsements
==In an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Editorial Board on Wednesday, the first-term senator proved himself adept at detail and vision. They are not mutually exclusive.

On poverty, he eschewed the phrase "war on poverty," preferring instead to describe the task as a long-haul effort. No one should launch a program, fight a battle and declare mission accomplished, he seemed to say.

Instead, it will require continuous and unflagging efforts along several fronts - taxation, education, economic development and, yes, personal responsibility - to make progress. He speaks of strengthening the middle class, helping with child care, early childhood education and ensuring access to affordable health care.

In other words, a broad, nuanced approach that recognizes that problems are linked to others.==

6. indeed - so nice to see that this paper picked up on the fact that it IS Obama
who worries more about results and solutions rather than (cheap/stolen) slogans and (appalling) applause lines - what we face in our country is long past the 3-word bumper sticker summation ...

Well stated and quite correct! We surely have two GREAT candidates. I am an Obama fan but truth be told, it has been difficult to choose between the two. I look forward to helping either Senator Obama or Senator Clinton kick Senator mCcains wrinkled butt come November!
:patriot:Help is on the way America, just hang in there a little longer. :patriot:
