Lieberman an “Unconventional” Republican “Asset” — Bullcrap
The article is from here: http://allspinzone.com/wp/2008/06/12/lieberman-an-unconventional-republican-asset-bullcrap/ the author probably gives Joe Lieberman too much credit, but does point out how foolish Lieberman has been.

Lieberman an “Unconventional” Republican “Asset” — Bullcrap

The LA Times has an article out this morning that purports to examine Senator Joe Lieberman (R-Warhawk) and his value to the Republican Party. There’s a lot to correct in that article, but I’ll try to restrain myself. I suppose we could focus on Lieberman claiming Barack Obama is “consistently wrong” in Iraq. This statement should make us all wonder at Lieberman’s sanity. But I want to focus on Joe Lieberman being called a “Republican asset.” I’m wondering if this is going to work out that way in the long term.

Lieberman certainly has some crazy ideas. While most of us figure he became a Republican (no, I do not put up with Lieberman’s fiction that he is an “Independent Democrat, as he calls himself) because he was so frightened of terrorism that he wanted to attack on every front, including the place where terrorists weren’t, Iraq. Most of us figured Lieberman became a Republican because he fell in love with the “War President” and his war policies, no matter the facts of justifications for war. The bottom line here is that Joe was so scared about terrorism he was peeing his pants every day, and he wanted someone to take on the nonexistent bullies for him. (Would that Joe Lieberman had kept his support to reality-based wars, such as that in Afghanistan.)

. . .
