Is this the beginning of the bounce after hitting bottom?
Are we being rolled out of intensive care back to health? Forgive the metaphors, but it’s hard to talk about immensity any other way.

The agony of our country has many parts:

(1.) The dead center of everything is the neocon cabal which has hijacked our country for the Israeli lunatic fringe right wing. Call the author anything you like, BUT MOST OF AMERICA KNOWS THIS IS TRUE. The Likud Party nut case religious fanatics and billionaires of Israel's right wing extremists have totally dominated our foreign policy for the last eight years (actually more).

(2.) 9/11! This will be the watershed event of America since the Civil War. The depths of this treason are sunk into bottomless hell. The Bush/Republicans didn't just "screw up"; they almost certainly facilitated the event. Literally hundreds of sites on the net are burgeoning with facts, scientific analysis, and hundreds of observations which powerfully indicate this event was not only "allowed", it was ENGINEERED. And by whom? Well, who was in office and who were they answering to? Questions, questions, questions of national/international treason . . .

(3.) Money cow oil wars for America's vampire rich, fought, of course, with our cannon fodder children for Cheney/Halliburton vampires of greed. The gap between the pig, pig rich and what's left of America's middle and lower classes has never been so great. America is now unequivocally a Dictatorship of the Rich, ruthlessly defended (from us!) by what is now an Elite Police State.

(4.) The utter soul selling of America's news media and "entertainment" industry. A few heroes and exceptions prove the rule, but otherwise it’s all follow the money. And the money trail leads where? To the neocon acronyms, of course, that are now America's masters.

(5.) The rape and murder of Mother Nature during the last eight years and trashing of most of our hard and heart won environmental protections is heartbreaking beyond words. It's also a recipe for Homo sapien extinction.

This list, sadly, could go on and on, but the big idea is that as a nation we are dying. This is no exaggeration. Our Constitutional Republic, as stated above, has been in intensive care.

We all know the feeling. The feeling that international vampire elites and religious psychopaths have bonded with American Nazi like fascists to engineer a literal coup d'etat in our country.

We have been living in national chaos and agony since Bush came to power (not in the stolen year 2000 Presidential election, but after the treasonous 9/11 infamy). Bush was in the political toilet "before" the timely 9/11, but then he got to play the game which is finally showing signs of pulling him back into the hell he crawled out of.

May I use a dated word and say that the "vibes" of where we are now are significantly different. You see, I want this piece to be a song of hope. Things are being said all over the net which were taboo before. Are we FINALLY getting our second wind? Are we finally acknowledging that 9/11 was infinite treason? Are we finally acknowledging that our foreign policy has been a tail wagged by the Israeli right wing for the last eight years. Are we finally demanding that we get our media back (in any case, we have the net, so screw this army of Judas').

The United States of America has not only been in intensive care; we have virtually been in a coma of despair, loss, and murder of our children in Bush Oil Wars. We have basically lost EVERYTHING!

. . . but here we still are. Here you are and here I am, still breathing, still fighting the good fight, and suddenly much more aggressively setting the stage for the biggest political/social/patriotic SMACK DOWN of local and international evil for the last several millennia.

There's a good time coming and it ain't so far away.

The seabirds from the continent of justice and rationality are increasingly filling the sky.

I got to my house, the neighbor across the street was standing there messing with her sprinkler. I stopped to chat and almost IMMEDIATELY she launched into an anti-bush tirade that made me proud. I didn't know she had it in her. She outwardly appears like a Republican, which I thought they were.
They could still be but they want bush in PRISON, EXPORTED, etc. and things turned around. I cannot
tell you enough how OUTRAGED people are over gas prices and the way they have hurt especially those
of us here in states without mass transit, who have HUGE distances to go between places. Bush and
the Pigs are history. I cannot WAIT for November. <Actually, I can. I am not in a hurry to face
winter again.> This was an amazing moment, I must tell you. Don't despair. The anger is there and
the only way some, probably most feel they can get even is to vote the idiots out.

5. Damn, I hope you're right.
I sort of feel like I am seeing the clouds start to break up. After the theft in 2000 the disappointment in 04, and the damage those fuckers have done in these past 8 years, I am a little aprehensive to get my hopes up too much... but, the only thing that is worse is to not have any hope that things will get better.

God, I hope the stoopid people that put us in this mess stay home November 4th.

you just summed up the last 8 years of our lives, longer since we were so desperately disappointed at losing our President Gore. Thank you for that! K&R

Thank you, thank you. I too think about President Gore (for the exit polls proved he really WAS the president). I also think about him as the head of our ship of state for the last (probably) eight years. But, speaking of ships of state, these devils from hell underestimated how difficult it would be to sink ours, even with the financial backing of the neocon traitors.

I have never been so proud of my country as I am now, watching us coming back from the dead. I am waiting for the day when the captain of our ship is no longer Israeli's lunatic fringe right wing. I am waiting for America to once again belong to AMERICANS -- not the religious nut cases and multi millionaires and billionaires of another county (our alleged "ally" -- what a laugh!).

God bless our country and God bless those who will return our country to us. We don't need psychopaths from another country to be our gods.

13. I still hold out hopes that President Gore
will run again, if it couldn't be this year, maybe 2012. I just read the piece about the internet in Vanity Fair and how much we have him to thank for our being able to communicate like this, along with all the other geniuses. He really was maligned and misquoted about what he said about the net. We CANNOT allow this to be done to Obama! I too feel the winds of change and while scary, it is exhilarating!!! We have been in like a coma for 8 longgggggg years....

As for the "ship of state" thing, I think we accidentally got bumped onto the SHIP OF FOOLS!

14. low key saint
The thing I like about Gore is that he seems to be able to fundamentally change. During the 2000 election he was actually a wimp much of the time, but he's mutated 2 or 3 times since then, which is a little unbelievable. Anyway, Godspeed to him whatever his trajectory. I wonder if Obama has him in mind for some major office (somehow I don't think it would be the VP). What do you think? I don't want to be tedious, but the very FACT of Al Gore during these last, say, four or five years has itself been a Godsend. Having said all that, I'm still glad its Obama and not Gore. Obama will be a better realpolitik politician -- ironically because he's nearly the exact opposite of H. Clinton. Most people sensed she was NOTHING BUT a politician, and indifferent to deep human values (just like her horny hubby), but Obama is like a low key saint, drenched in morality and sanity.

15. In 2000, I think Gore was guilty of listening
to his ill-advised advisors too much. He was trying too hard to distance himself from the slime of Bill Clinton that his own strengths and personality didn't shine through. Those brown suits were AWFUL. I'm thrilled to see him looking like the striking man he is (in black!) I hope that Obama puts him in charge of the Environment Protection Agency so he can ride rough-shod over the polluting industries! * let them run rough-shod over our environment and it can't go on!

I am pleased that Obama is our nominee but my heart still pines for Big Al!

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Hope you're right that change is at hand. The recent 5/4 Supreme Court decision reminds us just how much is at stake, and just how close we are to losing it.

I tend to agree -- and I'd certainly argue that this has been going on for more than 8 years -- but every new president gets suckered in. In some ways, it reminds me of what presidential candidates in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s used to do. They'd say about China: no "most favored nation trading status" unless and until China cleaned up its human rights record. And then the day after the inauguration, President Whoever and his new State Department would start pushing for the awarding of "most favored nation trading status" to China.

Obviously, there are more things going on than we're being told.
