A couple of amusing Quotes of the Week in today's Mail on Sunday,
a British newspaper:

"An economist is someone who will know tomorrow why the things he predicted yesterday didn't happen today."
The late Laurence J Peter, quoted during the current financial crisis.

"By the time I've read a copy of Metro (a free newspaper paper) and a few secret files, I must say that trips down to London seem to fairly fly by these days."
David Webb of Nottingham, in a letter to The Times.
