Palin Defends Terrorist Comment Against Obama
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gkpCxPShAoQW_1-Ip_nXika_IZzgD93KJO4O1

Sarah Palin defended her claim that Barack Obama "pals around with terrorists," saying the Democratic presidential nominee's association with a 1960s radical is an issue that is "fair to talk about."

Obama has denounced the radical views and actions of Bill Ayers, a founder of the violent Weather Underground group during the Vietnam era. On Sunday, Obama dismissed the criticism from the McCain campaign, leveled by Palin, as "smears" meant to distract voters from real problems such as the troubled economy.

Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate, launched the attack Saturday and repeated it Sunday, signaling a new strategy by John McCain's presidential campaign to go after Obama's character.

"The comments are about an association that has been known but hasn't been talked about," Palin said as she boarded her plane in Long Beach, Calif. "I think it's fair to talk about where Barack Obama kicked off his political career, in the guy's living room."

Later, at a fundraiser, Palin elaborated on her attack, claiming one of Obama's advisers had described Obama and Ayers as "friendly."

"In fact, Obama held one of his first meetings hoping to kick off his political career in Bill Ayers' living room," she told the crowd, which had just raised $2.5 million for the Republican party's McCain-Palin Victory 2008 fund.

3. Then let's talk about her link with the AIP
Something that has been documented and happened long after she was 8 years old.

4. I don't like all this catapulting of the propaganda.
It needs to be nipped in the bud real quick.

5. OK, by that logic, I was associated with the Chicago Seven because
I attended a real debate between Abbie Hoffman and G. Gordon Liddy in 1982. I was in the same room with an ex-radical "terrorist". Guess my future in public office is compromised . . .

7. Trying to bait Obama before the debate, like they did with Joe.
They so want Obama to go ugly and on the attack. McCain is losing voters from his negative campaign.

He lost voters with his negative and ill-mannered debate. He desperately wants the same from Obama.

But he's not going to get it. Obama is way too self-disciplined to be baited.

8. Couldn't Ayers sue her for defamation of character, since he was
never convicted? He's a respected Chicago citizen now and she is tarnishing his name.

I thought Mayor Daly already warned them not to go there, where is his retribution he promised?

9. This lady is dumber than a dirty penny.

People say that I speak too simply, or don't have quite the — I don't have my thesaurus in my back pocket all along through my speeches," she told donors in Englewood, Col. "Well, I don't have time for that."

See kids you too can be dumb as a stump--just keep telling yourself that you don't have time to study, or get up and go to school, or get up and take a shower, or take out the trash, or change your underwear. Lay around the house all day and eventually the Republicans will recognize that you're not lazy or incompetent--NO!!! you're a "Maverick" and before you know it you'll be running around the country appealing to other inbreds like yourself. Can we just kill everyone over the age of 65? In general there are a lot of stupid people 65 years and older that think reading Star Magazine qualifies as literature.

10. She sure does think that loose connections mean something.
Alaska is near Russia = she has foreign policy experience

Obama lived in the same neighborhood as Ayers = they were both terrorists

She was in a plane that landed in Ireland = has visited a foreign country

12. so why doesn't Obama's people talk about lthe little Miss'es affiliation with AIP?
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 07:59 PM by notadmblnd
I think it's fair for them to do an ad exposing the Alaska Independence Party's affiliation with white supremacists groups such as the Red Shirt Army and Christian Exodus. Include the clip with her as Governor addressing the party and wishing them luck. Then they need to do an Ad with the clips of her and her church, show them spouting gibberish and calling it speaking in tongues, show the other extreme sects of her religion such as those goofballs that handle snakes. Show the witch Dr. laying hand on her; hell, just using his voice in a clip will scare the bejaysus out of people, then play the clip of her repeating his words when she addressed the Wassila Assembly of God a few months back. Get mean, get nasty. Ask the question; if you can't raise your own kids, how you gonna run country? McCain, bring up the Keating five, swiftboat his military career just like they did to John Kerry, run an ad with his fellow soldiers telling people what a coward he was.

13. Somebody better put ads on the air attacking Palin's pro-AIP relationship
AIP wants Alaska to secede from the USA. That's not patriotic.
