... After seeing the debate's Joe on the news, Joe Riccobono, a Marshalls Creek plumber, noted, "He was bald. I've got hair" ...
Unlike Samuel J. Wurzelbacher of Holland, Ohio — the Joe the Plumber in the debate — Joe the Pocono Plumber plans to vote for Barack Obama.
"I feel we've had enough of the Bush era. It's time to give the middle class a chance," said Riccobono, a lifelong Democrat.
"The fuel cost really put a hurting on this country," he said ...

... This is Joe Angel Hernandez from Austin, a 34-year-old licensed plumber who thoroughly enjoyed hearing his first name and profession repeatedly cited on national television ...
Incidentally, Hernandez likes Obama's tax plan. He's said he's all for redistributing wealth (in the debate, McCain hammered on Obama's comment to Ohio's Joe that it was good to "spread the wealth around"; Obama countered that his plan will lower taxes for 95 percent of Americans). Because, frankly, he could use a few bucks.
Hernandez hasn't worked a plumbing job in six weeks because of the poor economy, he said. He now makes about $1,200 a month helping renovate homes ...
"Right now I'm just scraping by," said Hernandez, who said he's voting for Obama. "What can I do? I'm just an Average Joe."

... Ladies and Gentleman, Albany's own Joe the plumber.
“I am Joe the Plumber. I do like Obama better by McCain,” said Joe Branigan. “I'd like to see the little guy get a tax break, to be honest with you. It's hard to see what's happening to this country, but all my investments are going down the drain.” ...

... Joe Boyd questions the logic of buying a business during these tough economic times and a plumber's expectations of earning more than $250,000 a year.
"I'd be tickled to death to make $250,000 a year. If I made $300,000 a year, I wouldn't mind being taxed as little extra," said Boyd.
Boyd said only three to five percent of local plumbers make near $100,000 a year.
Boyd said he prefers Obama's tax plan over McCain and will likely vote for the Democratic candidate.

Real South Florida Joes Speak Out On Candidates
... Joe Boehm has been a tradesman for 24 years. Right now, he's working without health insurance and is about to lose the home he's living in.
"They're driving poor people farther away from trying to reach their goal," he said. Boehm's goal is to one day own his own plumbing company. He thinks Barack Obama is for the working man, but fears his dreams could go down the drain.
"It's gonna take a long time to get out of what we're in right now. At least ten years, or 12," Boehm estimated ...
