1. Limbaugh: "Terrorism = Good for Democrats"
Today, Rush Limbaugh said "Whatever is good for terrorists, is good for Democrats. Whatever is good for Al Queada is good for John Kerry."

Actually, the main reason that the Spanish Government lost the election was because of a loss of CREDIBILITY. To save their own political hides, the Spanish politicians tried to claim from the very beginning that Spanish terrorists were responsible, even though the evidence pointed to Al Queada.

3. Ding-ding-ding!
You hammered that nail right on the head.

Extra points for lucid brevity!

I think there's a second factor involved: the high turnout, an act of anger/defiance about the attacks. And the higher turnout meant many more young voters participated - who tend to vote leftist.

4. Absolutely ...
.. in the immediate wake of the bombings there was no notable reduction in the PP's poll lead.

It was only after the premier began lying about the probable perpetrators that things began to change.

The moral? If you lie to people, you run the risk of rejection.

Shrub beware!
