It's a great strategy, and one that even the best minds in football wouldn't have thought of...


On the serious side of it, though...

Whatever made the people who hired Brett Favre believe that a past-his-prime crybaby could get them into the playoffs...let alone to the Superbowl.

I saw this one coming at the beginning of the season.

Personally, I think Favre should have followed Mangini right out the door, but as one cynical sportswriter penned....They're still selling a whole lot of Number 4 jerseys and stuff.

I guess that says it all. If sales ever dip, Favre will be out of there, if he doesn't leave on his own sometime before next summer. He should have retired before he became a caricature of himself.
