Water level continues to drop at Sanford Underground Laboratory
The water level at the Sanford Underground Laboratory at Homestake was 4,704 feet underground today, which is down 4 feet from a week ago and down 174 feet from the high-water mark, which was reached last August. The former Homestake gold mine is 8,000 feet deep.
