Grassley’s Condition Worsens, Dementia Feared

Charles Grassley’s condition is worsening. Now he’s not just pretending to be a 13 year old girl on Twitter, but he’s doing an imitation of Sarah Palin with the “death panel” statements at Town Hall meetings. Iowans will note that Grassley has himself not gone before their state’s death panels, which Grassley’s grandson voted for.

And it's sort of sad- though I suppose Iowans have the chance this year to say, it's time to relax and retire.

I say this not as a partisan, but as someone who's taken care of two parents, one of whom showed similar signs to what we've been seeing with Grassley.

Can somebody explain to these farkin' idjits that 'end-of-life' counseling does NOT mean "We're gonna pull the plug on Gramma"?:banghead:

It means:
"What are YOUR preferences if (on the off-chance) something happens to the most-important, center-of-the-universe YOU and YOU are unable to speak for YOURself? Who do YOU want speaking for YOU and what do YOU want them to say?
Yes, I know that sort of thing only happens to other people...but just in case some idiot driving a beer truck doesn't realize it's YOU and fails to get out of the way...we will know in advance what YOU want so we can do it."

Grassley's grandson voted for the end-of-life consultations into Iowa state law. I'm sure he was trying to kill Chuck and his wife. The police should be on top of this. All Chuck needs is some good therapy and some powerful anti-psychotic drugs, after all.
