and was amazed at the easy ride Congress gave Rumsfeld. Senators appeared up for it, but apart from a couple of Republican Congressmen (one woman from NM and a guy from Mississippi), the rest all seemed to focus mainly on the sterling service Rummy had given his country. Very disappointing.

Than the earliest days of watergate, and like RIchard Nixon, the Bush family has a reputation for abandoning and sacrificing those who have been the loyalist to them, and who have tried to cover their butts.
More is coming, and if the Republican dominated Congress tries to assist in downplaying and covering up more serious elements of these events, you are likely to see a good number of Republican Congressmen voted out of office, even if Bush by some chance win in November.

6. I want to know WTF with Lieberman? |

I mean WHAT T F*** was THAT?!
'those who killed the 3000 on 9-11 didn't apologize to us' Well, DUH!
yadda yadda 'a huge list of places WE INVADED that didn't apologize to us'!
'we've got to get to the bottom of this' & spends his time grandstanding on & ON & ONNNN
He was as FULL of undeserved HUBRIS as the idiots in the White House!
He's already brain dead... he ought to resign right into a nursing home!
Pathetic.
Yah yah I Know that towards the end at least, the Reprofticans stand droning on soapboxes instead of asking questions... but this, being "one of us" so to speak *gag* was completely bizarre!
I'm a Democrat because I feel we DO WHAT IS RIGHT Including paying taxes -- which I do sans complaint.... by that we take care of our fellow citizens and benefit our land! But HEAVEN HELP the Democrat who rides the polls or who hides behind the party WHEN THEY SHOULD BE DOING WHAT IS *RIGHT*
To me, they are BEYOND the pale. Beyond even what Republicans do, we expect that from THEM now because THEY DON'T THINK NOR CARE ABOUT THEIR FELLOW MAN.
But OMG - A DEMOCRAT doing that? *Unforgivable*
