"'We're Dying Slowly': A Working American Pleads for Health Care With Heartbreaking Videos"
by Eve "nyceve" Gittelson

"It's hard to believe that Senator Claire McCaskill just said on Fox News that she'll vote against the health care bill if it doesn't cut the deficit.

"Maybe, if she had taken the time to see what her constituents in Missouri endure, she'd be a whole lot more careful before she makes statements like this. Or perhaps, we need to put Claire McCaskill right up there with Mary Landrieu, Blanche Lincoln, Ben Nelson and Joe Lieberman -- all of whom should face serious primaries."

1. Claire's wealth comes from her husband's nursing home
empire, so her views on health care are tainted by the vast amount of money the status quo brings to her and her family. She never addresses this honestly, so her worth to me is zero, I trust nothing she says or does.

3. Or maybe
she really does want to cut the deficit since she was only one of 3 that just voted no to increase our debt. Does anyone no why she voted no?

4. Anybody who claims to be a deficit hawk and yet is also a war hawk
is a hypocrite.

Military spending (I refuse to call it "defense") is the single largest source of our national debt.

I'll believe the "deficit hawks" when they start telling Obama to pull the troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Barring that, they're just exhibiting the typical Republican/DLC (same difference) animosity toward anything that actually helps the general public.

(I oppose the current health care bills for different reasons.)

5. I agree
If she votes yes to the upcoming war funding then she is a hypocrite. I also oppose the current health care bill for it's give away to the insurance industry

7. She's shown herself a wimp--hard to believe she ever won in a rough-&-tumble state like Missouri.
