In his new book, Plan of Attack, the famous American journalist Bob Woodward relates how on August 5, 2002, US Secretary of State Colin Powell advised George Bush that if he invaded Iraq the war would dominate his presidency.

Later, in an interview for the book, Woodward asked Bush about that conversation with Powell. Bush's reply was mostly about the issues of freedom and security, but he conceded that his Secretary of State was talking of the practical difficulties associated with Iraqi reconstruction.
