LEONARD PITTS JR.: Do us a favor and run, Sarah
Dear Sarah Palin:

I hear you're pondering a run for the White House in 2012.

Last week, you told Fox news it would be "absurd" to rule it out.

I'm writing to ask that you rule it in. I very badly want you to run for -- and "win" -- the Republican nomination for the presidency.

I know you're waiting for the punch line. Maybe you figure I think you'd be a weak candidate who would pave the way for President Obama's easy re-election.

1. Leonard Pitts cuts through the BS about as well as anyone around today
and I totally agree with his premise.
One thing he should have added that this could also send a clear message to Obama on which direction to lead.

i want her to run, not so much b/c we'll win another term, but b/c it will give this country a much needed moment of truth. and if it chooses that no-nothing bimbo as its president, then i'll know there truly is no hope left for america.

4. That's actually a good idea
That way we have a census of the stupid. Proof that we need to work on the education of people in this country.

5. On the Chris Matthew Sunday Morning Show, the panel pretty
much agreed that the Republican Party will work "behind the
scenes" to block her nomination for President in their party.

Bob Woodruff WaPO, said Palin will take herself out of the
running. "She enjoyes what she is doing now, the speaking
fees, invigorating the base."

10. She doesn't want to be President.
She knows it would be hard work, and she just doesn't want to have to apply herself. She also doesn't want to be scrutinized. She knows she's incopetent, and often glaringly so. The presidency would put her lack of ability and knowledge on stage for the world to see. She's far to narcissistic to expose herself to such certain ridicule for the rest of her days.

She's built for the easy life, and she likes taking the easy way out. She likes crib notes on her palm because memorization is so boring. SHe likes ghost writers because writing her own book is so tedious. She likes hopping on a jet plane for her "bus tour" because traffic is so tedious. She likes the ego boost of campaigning in front of adoring crowds, but she dislikes governing and will quit in favor of wielding her newfound celebrity.

12. The Republican men will never let a female be their candidate.
They thought it was ok to let Palin "pretty" up the dire McCain ticket, but found out she was too uppity for them. McCain has made it clear that she clearly didnt know her place.
