What looked resolute & decisive now looks wrong-headed. |

1. Great article! Thanks for posting it. |

And, BTW, I always thought that bush's leadership looked wrong-headed.
It looked uninformed, stubborn, simplistic, and definitely ill-advised.

By their very nature, fanatics are resolute for they can never admit they are wrong despite all evidence to the contrary. This is because fanatics believe they have absolute truth on their side and to admit error is to deny absolute truth. Another aspect they cannot see in themselves is that violating their own tenets to accomplish lofty goals belies their acclaimed depth of faith. Instead, they are religious in their beliefs without having faith in their beliefs; therefore, acting contrary to the tenets they aver. Religious individuals; but, not people of faith.

The dems should do everything they can to exploit the divide between the Bush brownshirts and any sane Republicans that haven't yet been purged from the party.

BBC Radio interview with William Kristol this morning:
Kristol claims that there's nothing wrong with the PNAC agenda, only that Bush and Co. are incompetent to execute the plans.
Kristol is of course overlooking several problems:
1) PNAC is factually flawed (not dealing with reality, but with their own prejudices)
2) PNAC's plans are morally indefensible (violate most standards of ethical behavior and international law)
3) PNAC is essentially advocating facsism, not democracy nor the American principles.
And yes, Bush will lose the election, just as he has lost the war, 3 oil businesses, his daughters, and what else?
Well, maybe Condoleezza is worth it.
